AMP Overview
AMP is a SaaS platform that helps organizations to centralize their Software in a single system and manage Intune applications through all of its stages, from placing an order by end-user till application delivery. It is essential, yet time-consuming to control all of the steps in application management, since it is mandatory to provide, collect, and track essential application information (including license and contact information), installation and configuration instructions, deployment, and release details. This platform can be used equally painless by end-users to place a request for application as well as by Project Managers to keep track of Windows migrations or software maintenance.
- You can build a media library for all software for data storage.
- You can track Windows 10 application compatibility and test results.
- You can integrate with Intune app list to have a reference to application details.
Application Management Workflow Steps
AMP consists of five major workflow steps to ensure the application completes its lifecycle. There is an option with AMP to enable or disable extra steps as per customer requirements.
1. NEW & DETAILS
Create app requests, enter relevant details for applications (license & contact information, installation & configuration steps + original files).
Use the CAPTool plugin to build the installation instruction in a recorded video format or in the Word document with references and comments.
2. BUILD
Assign app requests to packagers and oversee a creation process, check package quality (QA) and control SLA’s.
By outsourcing your Application Packaging to UonCloud you save valuable time and can focus on other important tasks.
3. IMPORT
Prepare app request for testing by importing the delivered package into the deployment system and assigning an app expert for functional test.
Use the IMPTool plugin to import delivered packages into the INTUNE or ConfigMgr environments.
4. TEST
Control the entire app testing process by ensuring that the app is meeting installation, configuration, and functionality requirements before the final sign off.
Use CAPTool plugin to record the entire functionality test process in a recorder video format or Word document.
5. PUBLISH
Complete the final stage of the application management process by publishing the application to end-users in the production environment.
